The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs will organise a 3×3 Open Basketball Championship for Men and Women from December 30 at the Basketball Court, Netaji Stadium, commencing at 4 pm.
The championship will follow the 3×3 format, with each team comprising a maximum of four players, including three on-court players and one substitute. The tournament is open to participants from government and private schools, colleges, institutions, organisations, and youth clubs.
There will be no entry fee, and participation in the championship is entirely free of cost. Winners and runners-up in both the men’s and women’s categories will be felicitated with medals and trophies, along with cash awards. The winning teams will receive Rs. 5,000, while the runners-up teams will be awarded Rs. 3,000 each.
Interested teams are required to register with the Event Organiser, Mr. G. Nagesh Rao, PET and Basketball Coach, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, on or before December 29, 2025, by 5 pm. He can be contacted at 7063974074 or 9434270758.
The match fixtures will be drawn on December 30 at 4 pm at the Basketball Court, Netaji Stadium Complex, following which the inaugural match will be played from 5 pm onwards.
