As per the latest data shared by A & N Administration, 58.35% of the total population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been administered with at-least the first dose of COVISHIELD (COVID-19 Vaccine).
In total 3,34,151 doses of COVISHIELD have been administered in the Islands so far to the eligible beneficiaries. Out of the total number of doses administered 2,33,398 doses have been used for vaccinating the first dose beneficiaries, whereas 1,00,753 doses have been used to vaccinate the second dose beneficiaries.
2,81,603 (Approx.) is the target beneficiary for COVID-19 vaccination in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, according to the latest health bulletin released by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
There are 08 active cases of COVID-19 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands now. All eight cases have been detected in South Andaman District. 129 people have lost their lives in the Islands since the start of the pandemic and 7557 confirmed cases have been detected in the Islands until now. 7420 people have also recovered from COVID-19 in the Islands.
