The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) made a strong presence at the prestigious FAITH Conclave, held on 12–13 August at the Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. AATO President Mr. M. Vinod and Joint Secretary Mr. Saikat Biswas attended the event, representing the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on a national platform.

Mr. M. Vinod was nominated by the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), while Mr. Saikat Biswas received his nomination from the Association of Tourism Operators of India (ATOAI), both premier national tourism bodies.

The conclave was addressed by Union Tourism Minister Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and Secretary Tourism, Government of India, Mr. Suman Birla, alongside top leaders from the tourism, hospitality, and aviation sectors.

FAITH — the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality — serves as a unifying platform for all major stakeholders in the Indian tourism industry.

The conclave provided AATO delegates a valuable opportunity to showcase the potential of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, discuss the region’s tourism needs, and network with policymakers and industry leaders.

Expressing his appreciation, Mr. Vinod thanked the organisers for inviting two delegates from the Islands, noting that the event offered an excellent platform to learn from national experts and promote Brand Andamans.
