Administration Allows Reopening of Adventure Sports Activities in the Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Administration through its latest order dated 18th of November 2020 has allowed the reopening of Adventure Water Sports Activities in the Islands, subject to following of the Standard Operating Procedure as formulated.

The water sports activities which have been listed by the Administration for reopening include Scuba Diving, Sea Walk, Sea Kart, Parasailing and Jet Ski. 

The Administration has specified that the Tourist Safety and Enforcement Team (TSET) and Dive Safety and Enforcement Team (DSET) members will supervise the implementation of the SOP’s on ground and will be supervised by the Tourist Safety and Supervisory Team (TSST) and Dive Safety and Supervisory Team and they will ensure that the SOP’s are strictly followed by the tourists and the operators.

Comprehensive SOP’s have been formulated by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for all the Adventure Sports Activities. Andamans have also opened for tourism and we are witnessing a revival phase and opening of these Adventure Water Sports Activities will enable Andamans to attract more tourists.
