In a landmark event, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former State President BJP-ANI, unfurled the Party flag at Khalasi village situated in Terresa Island. This historical moment marked the inaugural instance of any political party hoisting its flag in this village.
The flag hoisting ceremony, a pivotal occasion, was graced by the presence of Mr. E.S Rajesh, District President of Nicobar District BJP, Mr. Wilson Zachariah, serving as the Kalasi Captain, alongside Mr. Reuben as the 2nd Captain. Additionally, the event garnered significance with the participation of tribal members from diverse villages.
The visit of Mr. Jolly and Mr. E S Rajesh to Teressa Island underscored the party’s concerted efforts to engage with local communities and extend its outreach to regions that had previously not been extensively covered.
The hoisting of the party flag in Khalasi Village is a symbolic gesture of the support of local residents towards BJP.
