CBSE Board Exams 2025 to Begin on February 15 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations for the academic session 2024-25 are set to begin on February 15, 2025, in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) for Class X will start with the English paper on February 15, while the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class XII will commence on the same day with the Entrepreneurship paper.

The main papers for Class XII will begin on February 17 with Physical Education as the first subject. The Class X examinations will conclude on March 18 with Computer Applications, Information Technology, and Artificial Intelligence papers, while the Class XII exams will end on April 4 with the Psychology paper.

This year, 10,465 regular candidates from the Union Territory are expected to appear for the CBSE examinations. Among them, 5,525 students will sit for the Class X exams, while 4,940 students will take the Class XII exams.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the exams, 47 examination centres have been identified across the islands for both AISSE and AISSCE students, including private candidates. CBSE has designated nationalized banks, police stations, and police outposts as custodians of confidential examination materials to ensure their safe custody.

The appointment of Centre Superintendents and Observers is being handled by the Regional Officer, CBSE, Chennai, to guarantee free and fair examinations. All necessary arrangements have been made to monitor and ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
