The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, convened a meeting with representatives of recognized political parties on 18th September 2025 at Shiksha Sadan, A&N Administration, Sri Vijaya Puram. The meeting focused on pre-revision activities in preparation for the upcoming electoral roll revision.
During the session, the CEO delivered a PowerPoint presentation outlining key aspects, including the qualifying date of the last Special Intensive Revision held in 2002, current elector data, polling station details, enumeration forms, and the list of eleven indicative documents required to be submitted by electors along with the form.
Mr. Kumar also demonstrated that the part-wise Electoral Roll of 2002 has been uploaded on the CEO’s official website along with a search facility enabling electors to easily identify their Part Number and Serial Number in the roll.
The CEO urged political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for every polling station in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency. These agents will work alongside Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the revision process to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, Mr. Kumar said that the active cooperation of political parties is essential for the smooth conduct of the upcoming revision exercise.
