LPG consumers have been informed that the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has introduced new system-based guidelines for LPG cylinder booking and delivery across the country to enhance transparency, efficiency, and proper monitoring of LPG distribution.

According to the revised system implemented by IOCL, LPG cylinder booking has now been made 100 percent digital, and consumers are required to book cylinders only through authorized digital platforms such as mobile applications, SMS, IVRS, or online portals.

The guidelines also state that LPG cylinders will be delivered only to consumers whose e-KYC has been duly updated in the system. Consumers who have not yet completed their e-KYC have been advised to do so at the earliest to avoid inconvenience in receiving LPG supplies.

Another key change introduced in the system is a mandatory gap of 25 days between the last cylinder delivery and the next booking or invoice. Consumers will be able to place their next booking only after the completion of this prescribed period.

In view of these system changes, offline bookings will no longer be accepted, and consumers have been urged to ensure that their e-KYC is completed and that bookings are made strictly through the authorized digital platforms.

LPG consumers have been requested to extend their cooperation in implementing the new guidelines aimed at ensuring fair distribution, improved transparency, and better service delivery. The information was issued through a press release by Reem Indane.
