In its ongoing efforts to combat encroachments on government lands, the District Administration of South Andaman conducted eviction drives in the Ferrargunj Tehsil area. The focus of the operation was on Nayashahar village within Ferrargunj Tehsil, where encroachments were identified and addressed.
Approximately 2000 square meters of land, fenced off by encroachers, was reclaimed and restored to Government Khata status. The eviction operation was carried out with the assistance of Patwari, Patwari Assistant, and CDVs in the Tehsil, demonstrating a collaborative effort by various administrative bodies.
The Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman issued a stern warning to the public, emphasizing the administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards encroachments on government land. The cautionary statement serves as a reminder for individuals to refrain from engaging in such illegal activities.
