Port Blair, Nov 26 2020

The recent visit of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with Shri. Sanjay Singh, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Prakash Adhikari, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janta Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and other senior functionaries of Bharatiya Janata Party saw hundreds of youths of Neil Island joining Bharatiya Janata Party.

These youths who have joined BJP are impressed with the work and leadership of Shri.Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and have asserted their confidence in the state leadership of the party.

Neil Island formally known as Shaheed Dweep now is a small Island located near Port Blair and is a part of South Andaman District. The Island has a tourism and agriculture based economy with most youths employed in the tourism sector. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the sudden stoppage of all tourism related activities in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the economy of Neil Island was badly affected by it.

The Islands are on a path of economic revival now and the tourism has been allowed to restart with precautions. The youths of the Neil Island have trusted BJP at a very crucial juncture. The next few months will be very important and political support will be the key to demand better facilities for the Islands, which is important to see the revival of tourism.

The youths of Neil Island actively wants to participate in politics to ensure a better future for the fellow Islanders.

It is now seen that more and more Islanders are trusting the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Islands, which is a very good news for the party as the local body elections are soon approaching and this trust in the leadership of the party will turn into votes for the candidates of the party.

Apart from the youths several senior leaders of national parties have joined BJP in Neil Island.
