Laksh Public School Starts Food Bank

Laksh Public School, Bambooflat, Port Blair has started a food bank in the premises of the school with the help of contributions from the students and their parents. The students of the school have donated money from their piggy banks for the school authorities to start the food bank, for those in need.

The food bank was made functional today in presence of Insp. Mohd Sameer, SHO PS Bambooflat. First beneficiary of the food bank received the dry ration from the hands of Insp. Mohd Sameer. 

Every day the food bank will operate from 9 Am to 11:30 Am and will serve the needs of anyone who is in need of ration and cannot afford to purchase it. 

Anyone in need of help can call on 9933205896, 9679565946, 9740040300 and they will be given a particular time to visit the school and collect the items they need. The authorities of the school have a target of helping 20 families per day.

During these difficult times of the pandemic, the students of Laksh Public School, Bambooflat should be lauded for donating their piggy bank money for the noble cause of helping those in need.
