Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, embarked on a crucial inspection visit to the Invisible Bank. The purpose of his visit was to assess the progress of the under-construction Light House situated on Rani Lakshmi Bai Shila. This forthcoming Light House, poised to become operational in the near future, is anticipated to hold significant geographical sway over the Gateway to the Indo-Pacific region, carrying immense geo-strategic importance.
As per information obtained from the PM Gati Shakti (India Investment Grid) website, the total project cost for the establishment of the Lighthouse Structure at Rani Lakshmibai Shila stands at USD 4.13 million (equivalent to INR 34,24,32,961.50 in today’s conversion rate). This development initiative underscores the commitment towards bolstering infrastructure in the region, enhancing navigational safety, and fortifying India’s presence in the Indo-Pacific realm.
