Mini RCH Camp Organized at Mannarghat Community Hall by UTHM in Collaboration with DHS & ANIIMS

On February 29th, 2024, a significant healthcare initiative took place at the Mannarghat Community Hall, as the Union Territory Health Mission (UTHM) spearheaded a Mini Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Camp. The event, held under the jurisdiction of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Wimberlygunj, saw collaboration from the Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration, and ANIIMS.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Avijit Roy, Joint Secretary (RCH-II), along with Ms. Sajida Banu, Pradhan GP Mannarghat, and other esteemed members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI). Dr. K.P Felicitus, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of PHC Wimberlygunj, also marked his presence at the event.

The camp, aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services, witnessed the participation of esteemed medical professionals. Dr. Shirley from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dr. Reema Dakua from the Department of Paediatrics, and Dr. Sony Anjali, a Junior Resident specializing in ENT from ANIIMS, were among those who generously contributed their expertise. Additionally, Dr. Farheen Kamil, a General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) specializing in Dental care, and Ms. Shabnam Begum, a Psychiatric Social Worker from GB Pant Hospital, lent their services, underscoring the collaborative effort towards holistic healthcare provision.

During the course of the camp, a total of 64 patients were examined and provided with necessary medications. Notably, several patients were identified for further treatment and were referred to the renowned G.B Pant Hospital. Moreover, attendees underwent screenings for prevalent health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, enabling early detection and intervention.
