Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Member of Parliament for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has urged the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to build a shed in the Marina Park area to accommodate visitors, evening walkers, locals, and tourists.

In a formal letter to the Chief Secretary, Sharma emphasized the importance of Marina Park as a beloved destination for both residents and tourists. He noted that the park’s natural beauty and tranquility attract numerous visitors, but the lack of adequate shelter poses significant challenges.

Sharma pointed out that the absence of a shelter leaves park-goers vulnerable, particularly during heavy rainfall. This situation not only causes discomfort but also raises safety concerns, as visitors have no place to seek refuge from sudden weather changes.

To address these issues, Sharma proposed the construction of a nature-friendly shed that would blend seamlessly with the park’s environment. He stressed that such an addition would greatly enhance the overall experience for all park visitors while preserving the area’s aesthetic appeal.

“Providing such a facility would not only improve the park’s infrastructure but also demonstrate our commitment to the well-being and comfort of our residents and visitors,” Sharma stated. He believes that this initiative would significantly benefit the community and reinforce the administration’s dedication to improving public amenities.

Sharma’s call for action highlights the need for practical infrastructure improvements that cater to the comfort and safety of the public, ensuring that Marina Park remains a cherished spot for recreation and relaxation.
