The Branch MSME–Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, will organise a one-day PM Vishwakarma Awareness Programme on February 5, 2026, at Tagore Government College of Education, Middle Point. The programme will commence at 9.30 a.m.
The awareness programme is being conducted for beneficiaries who have successfully registered or have applied for registration under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, which is aimed at supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople.
The objective of the programme is to create awareness and provide exposure to various government schemes focused on enterprise development, financial inclusion, skill upgradation, and sustainable livelihood generation. The scheme covers traditional artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades who work with their hands and tools.
As part of the technical sessions, participants will be briefed on key topics including entrepreneurship development, financial and digital literacy, use of e-commerce platforms, Udyam registration, the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, and various government support schemes for improving market access for MSMEs.
Self-Help Groups (SHGs), entrepreneurs, and artisans who are registered or have applied for registration under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme are eligible to participate in the programme. Participation is free of cost.
