In a notable win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Mr. S. Sahul Hameed has been elected Chairperson of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, defeating the Congress candidate by a margin of six votes (15 to 9).
“Mr. Hameed’s victory underscores the growing public support for the NDA, particularly highlighting the effective collaboration between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the region,” said Mr. Vishal Jolly. The result is also being seen as a reaffirmation of the BJP’s leadership at the national level.
Congratulating Mr. Hameed on his success, Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and Former State President of BJP Andaman and Nicobar Islands, expressed his gratitude to the electorate. He thanked the people of Sri Vijaya Puram for placing their trust in the alliance’s vision for development and good governance.
The win is expected to bolster the NDA’s position in local bodies and further its agenda of transparent and efficient administration.
