M P Abdul Rasheed (popularly known as Ration Rasheed) in collaboration with Andaman Mopla Service Organisation and District Administration, South Andaman organised a special vaccination drive at Lillypur Masjid, Haddo Port Blair on 24th April 2021.
Vaccination Drive was organised form 4 Pm to 8 Pm and people from all walks of life registered and received their doses of COVID-19 Vaccination at the camp. Fruits and refreshments were also offered to those getting vaccinated by Ration Rasheed.
90 eligible citizens including a 88 year old lady Bijjuty received their doses of COVID-19 vaccination in the camp.
Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Hari Kallikat, SDM, South Andaman also visited the camp and inspected the facilities being provided to the beneficiaries. Suneel Anchipaka also thanked Ration Rasheed and the Masjid Committee for their initiative.
Siddique, the newly elected Secretary of Consumers Cooperative Stores Ltd. also supported the camp and ensured its success.
The residents of the nearby area appreciated the efforts of Ration Rasheed in organising Vaccination Drive.
The Deputy Commissioner and the SDM urged the residents to follow all COVID-19 protocols and to help the Administration in fight against COVID-19 by getting themselves vaccinated.
