Former Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, has been declared as the candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has served as the Member of Parliament from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands constituency for three terms in the 13th, 15th, and 16th Lok Sabha.
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray is known for being approachable and leads a humble life despite being a three-time former Member of Parliament. He is also known in the Islands as an honest and deeply rooted leader.
In the 2019 General Elections to Lok Sabha, BJP had fielded Mr. Vishal Jolly as its candidate, and he was defeated by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the current Member of Parliament, by a thin margin.
By declaring Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray as its candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, BJP has played a very significant trump card and made the competition much more fierce than anticipated earlier.
