Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice-Chairman of the Islands Development Agency, reviewed a presentation by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration on various projects being undertaken under Sagarmala 2.0.
During the review, the shipping and port sectors were highlighted as the principal drivers of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ contribution towards achieving the objective of Viksit Bharat. In addition, projects and schemes in the fishing and tourism segments were also included.
The Lieutenant Governor directed that these projects should be progressed on a mission mode to ensure their earliest operationalisation.
The Chief Secretary and other senior officers were also present during the review meeting.
