Amit Shah to Arrive on a Two Day Visit to the Islands Tonight; Union Home Minister will Attend Several Programmes, Meeting with Local BJP Leaders and Karyakartas also Scheduled

The Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Mr. Amit Shah will be arriving on a two day visit to A&N Islands tonight (January 22). He will be accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at Veer Savarkar International Airport by the Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Mr. Keshav Chandra, DGP, A&N Islands, Mr. Neeraj Thakur and others. 

During the visit, the Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Mr. Amit Shah will grace the programme in which Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi will name 21 unnamed Islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands after 21 Param Vir Chakra awardees and unveil the model of the National Memorial dedicated to Netaji to be built on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island on 23rd January at 11 AM via video conferencing in the Auditorium of Dr. B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT).

Mr. Amit Shah will also chair ‘Shakti Kendra Pramukh Bhaithak’ of Bharatiya Janata Party and the meeting of the Core Committee Members of Bharatiya Janata Party, A & N Islands at Tagore College Auditorium on 23rd January 2023 at 2:00 Pm.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation will be the Chief Guest of the Mega Cultural Programme to be held at the historic Netaji Stadium on 23 January 2023 at 5 pm. 

On completion of the visit, Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation will depart for New Delhi on January 24.
